Russian ruble rises to below 63 per US dollar on oil price growth
MOSCOW, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- The Russian ruble has grown by 33 kopecks to 62.95 per U.S. dollar as of 12.04 p.m. Moscow time on Friday, according to the Moscow Exchange data seen by PRIME.
The ruble rose 33 kopecks against the euro to 66.83 rubles.
Earlier in the day, the ruble grew to 62.91 rubles per U.S. dollar, the highest since November 1, while against the euro the ruble increased to 66.80 – the highest point since the summer of 2015.
The Brent oil price grew to U.S. $54.43 per barrel as of 11.39 a.m. Moscow time, according to the ICE exchange.
